Nancy Solway

A major contributor to the Canadian pottery scene for over thirty years, Nancy Solway's career has taken her from the country to the city and from sculpture to functional pottery. In 1980 she co-founded Clay Design Studio/Gallery in Toronto, Canada, still an artist-run urban landmark. She was a ceramics instructor at George Brown College for over twenty years and was a long time member of the Board of Directors of the Ontario Crafts Council. Nancy is one of five Canadians to appear in Peter Dormer's book "The New Ceramics".

Nancy now works and teaches out of her garden studio in Toronto's Annex neighbourhood. Her pottery is available from her directly, from Clay Design (at Harbord and Brunswick) and frequently from the Guild Shop of the Ontario Crafts Council and the Gardiner Museum. Please send an e-mail to join her mailing list for upcoming shows.
